Rupert’s First Cinema Trip

It was with more than a little trepidation that I embarked on an outing to the cinema with Rupert today. Any new activity with a two year old poses the risk of being a dismal failure; particularly an activity that requires being still for any length of time. But with a long week ahead and no childcare at all, I decided that it was worth a shot. After all, if it all went drastically wrong we could always just leave! Armed with masses of cocktail sausages, carrots, hummus, and an octonaughts comic (for bribery), we trotted off to see Cars 3 at our local cinema. And it was BRILLIANT! It is so long since I have stepped foot in a cinema, I had forgotten about the forty minutes of adverts and trailers before the film actually starts so we were actually in there for nearly two and a half hours and Rupert was totally fine with the whole thing, all helped with a few loo stops, a bit of dancing to the music and lots of sausages! So proud of my boy.
